Jeff Burton drove hard and smart all day in
the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup Food City 500
from Bristol Motor Speedway and was in the
right place at the right time in the end.
Burton was the recipient of Joe Gibb’s racing
driver Denny Hamlin’s bad luck on the
final lap of Sunday’s race. Burton zoomed past
Hamlin on the outside when it appeared
Hamlin had problems getting fuel to the pickup
on the high banked bullring.
The win is Burton’s first of 2008 and is also
the first win for a Chevrolet this season. |
