The 2010 running of the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee was the fifth race of the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.
Jimmie Johnson picked up his 50th career Sprint Cup victory on Sunday as he took first in the 2010 Food City 500
Johnson wasn’t in contention until a caution flag came out late in the race and forced a restart with 10 laps remaining. Johnson jumped from sixth to first in three laps and went on to hold off Tony Stewart and Kurt Busch for the victory.
Johnson led a total of 84 laps in the race to earn 190 points and give him his third win of the season in just six races. It is actually Johnson’s third win in the last four races.

In 2009,
Kyle Busch cruised to the comfortable win at the
Food City 500.
Kyle Busch seized control on Sunday's Food City
500, leading 378 laps in this Snicker's Toyota
to capture his second win of 2009. Busch held
off Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin by
.391 seconds in a green-white checkered flag
finish that took the race to 503 laps, three
beyond the scheduled distance. The win was
Busch's 14th in the Cup Series and his 10th
since joining Joe Gibbs Racing.
